From serving up exciting new features and services, to growing a fantastic team that would give Santa’s elves a run for their money: it’s been a year to remember.
Here’s our Advent calendar of 25 things we loved in the last 12 months.
1. One amazing conference: EnrolyCon23
It was awesome to get so many of the Enroly community together in April. We left feeling inspired, energised and with a sack full of ideas to implement for the future. Thanks again to all our attendees and speakers. We'll see you at EnrolyCon24 in May next year!
2. We launched two popular new services: Interview Assessment & CAS processing
Our Interview Assessment service launched in early 2023, getting credibility interviews down from an average of 53 minutes to 30 seconds per student for our clients! 40% of our partners are now making the most of this service. We also now offer CAS processing service to our visa support clients, who can now benefit from end-to-end services on the platform.

3. We won three awards from our partners at the University of South Wales
We were chuffed to have won THREE categories at the University of South Wales Supplier Awards, picking up the Innovation Award, the Collaboration Award, and the USW Star Award.
USW is one of our original partners and the team has been a guiding star for us in the development of CAS Shield every step of the way, which made the recognition incredibly special!
4. Four fabulous company get-togethers
As a fully remote team, our company get-togethers are an important way to celebrate recent achievements, welcome new team members, and make merry! After our successful escapades in Paris, Brighton, and London, it's time to wrap up the year with some festive fun at the Enroly Christmas Party.
5. Over 35,000 automated interviews completed
Our industry-leading interview technology helped universities conduct 35,228 credibility interviews this year. That’s a whole lot of students and staff getting a much smoother interview experience. Here's to that!
6. Six SITS Turnkey integrations
Our two-way integration with SITS:Vision facilitates a seamless flow of data and documents between the Enroly platform and your SITS student management system.
We’ve worked on delivering six of these integrations this year, resulting in an optimised platform experience for our users.

7. One-in-three students onboarding with Enroly
One-in-three international students coming to the UK now onboard their CAS, visa and arrival on the Enroly platform.
We’re proud to be helping our partners service these students more effectively, giving them the best post-offer experience in the business!
8. 8,000+ staff and agent users used the platform in one day on 23rd August
The Enroly platform has such a large segment of users that student and staff platform usage reveals the heartbeat of the industry. The graph above shows daily staff and global agent users peaking at over 8,000 in August 2023.
Congrats to our university and agent colleagues for wrapping up a challenging intake with such success!
9. Nine million documents processed with smart automation
We automate the onboarding and arrival process for universities, their students and agents. We hit a milestone of nine million documents processed with smart automation this year. And you don't need to send them up the chimney: CAS Shield requests them for you.
10. 100,000+ student users on 1 August 2023
We’ve talked about our staff and agent users, but what about students? 100,000 of them used the Enroly platform on 1 August 2023 (yes, you read that right). All we want for Christmas is the best possible CAS, visa and arrival experience for every single one of our international students users.
11. Enroly Award winners
One of the highlights of EnrolyCon23 was recognising the amazing achievements of our partners at the Enroly Awards. Congratulations to the eleven of our partners who picked up awards, along with many deserving runners up. We can’t wait to recognise more of your achievements in the New Year!
12. Intake reports
With hundreds of thousands of students flowing on the platform annually, Enroly has unique real-time data.
We’ve released three groundbreaking reports this year, representing the only reliable sources of live data on international students coming to the UK. Check out the latest one here, showing large falls of international students are expected for the coming January 2024 intake.
13. New team members
What a team! We’ve been delighted to grow the organisation again this year with thirteen new fantastic members of staff, with a special shout-out to our Services team which has expanded to offer a wide range of first-class on-platform services for our partners.
14. Major product improvements
There’ve been fourteen of them! And hundreds more smaller changes to make the Enroly platform more usable.
From introducing facial recognition technology to determine students’ identity in interviews, to adding industry comparisons and competitor segments in Data Insights, our product and technology teams have been busy in the workshop all year, to give you the best possible tools.
15. Thousands of golf balls hit
It was a big year for crazy-golf at Enroly. From the arches of Battersea Power Station before the BUILA conference, to the shores of Brighton Beach, we putt in the hours on the course. Thanks to all the partners that joined us for BUILA - we’ll see you there next year!
16. 162 of our users got accredited this year!
162 agents and university users got Enroly accreditation this year. Congratulations to every one of you!

23. Memorable Partnerships
As we enter the holiday season, it feels apt to reflect on our partnership with our friends at the wonderful industry podcast Tales From the Departure Lounge.
We were proud to support the podcast for several weeks in 2023, with our very own Saph Williams repping for Enroly on one episode.
24. Enroly data used in report into the economic impact of international students
The economic benefits international students brought to the UK economy was an estimated £42bn in 2021/2, according to a new report from London Economics.
The analysis for the Higher Education Policy Institute, Universities UK International, and Kaplan International Pathways estimated the total benefit from 2021/22 first-year international students over the duration of their studies was approximately £41.9bn, while the estimated total costs were £4.4bn: a benefit to-cost ratio of 9.4.
Enroly contributed data for the report to assist in the analysis on dependants, helping economists at London Economics better understand the breakdown between adult and child dependants, and estimate the costs associated with the cohort more accurately.
25. Partner visits!
There was only one way to finish this festive round up, and that’s with our partners. We visited 31 up and down the country in 2023, from Swansea to Aberdeen!
