Why have I received an invitation to log in to CAS Shield?

You have received an invitation to log in to CAS Shield because you have reached the stage required by your University to apply for your CAS document. This document is required as part of any Student Visa application.

How can I get a CAS Shield account?

If you are waiting to start the CAS process, and have not yet received an invitation link to CAS Shield, please get in touch with your University directly so that they can be of further assistance.

I can't log in to my account. What should I do?

If you are unable to login to your CAS Shield account, you can contact us on our live chat in the CAS Shield app using the blue button in the bottom left hand side of the homepage.

I’ve forgotten my password. What should I do?

If you are unable to login to your CAS Shield account, please click on the forgotten password message on the login homepage of the CAS Shield app. You can also contact us on our live chat using the blue button in the bottom left hand side of the homepage.

My CAS

I no longer wish to accept my place. How do I get a refund?

If you require a refund, please contact your university directly so that they can help you further.

I no longer wish to accept my place. What should I do?

If you wish to decline your place, please contact your university directly so that they can help you further.

How can I defer my place?

If you wish to defer your place, please contact your university directly so that they can provide further information on deferral options.

I am unable to provide a document, what should I do?

If you are unable to provide a specific document, this is a question for the University. They configure the system to request all the documentation needed to issue a CAS. If you or your student aren't able to provide all the documents requested at some point of the application process, you are advised to contact the institution directly. You can do so by using the messaging button in the right hand corner of CAS Shield on the record once you login.

When is my interview?

Please contact your University directly in order to confirm the interview schedule. You can contact them using the messaging button in the bottom right corner of CAS Shield once you log in.

How can I ask my University a question about my CAS?

You can submit a question to the University by using the messaging button in the right hand corner of the CAS Shield app once you log in. The University will get back to you as soon as possible.

I have a scholarship but it’s not showing in CAS Shield. What should I do?

You can add a scholarship you have received on CAS Shield, which will be deducted from the total amount of funds you have to show. In the source of funds calculator, select University Scholarship or Discount at the top of the page, and then add your scholarship.

I need to edit my pre-CAS interview answers. What should I do?

Once the pre-CAS interview section is complete, it is no longer editable. Please notify the University using the message button in the right hand corner of the screen once you are logged in if you have made any errors.

I have a question about the documents required for my CAS application

Please check that you have provided all the necessary information and documents and speak to your university directly. You can contact them using the messaging button in the bottom right corner of CAS Shield once you log in.

I have completed the CAS process. When will I receive my CAS?

If you have completed your application on CAS Shield, please wait for the University to review your application, or get in touch with them by using the messaging button in the right hand corner of CAS Shield once you login.

I completed the CAS process. Should I receive a confirmation email?

If you’ve completed the process on CAS Shield you won’t receive a confirmation email from your University. Please be assured that all of your documents will have been received by your university and they will be in touch should they require any further information.

The CAS tracker is moving slowly. What should I do?

Your institution might need a little longer to process your application due to the high volume of enquiries they are receiving. Please bear with them whilst they process your application, they will be in touch due course.

I’ve noticed an error on my CAS. What should I do?

If you notice an error on your CAS, please contact your institution using the message button in the bottom right hand corner once you’ve logged into CAS Shield.

Visa and arrival status updates

The UKVI has asked for more information. What should I do?

If the UKVI has asked for additional information from your University, please update the visa status on CAS Shield, and notify your University of any documents you require using the messaging button on the bottom right hand side of the screen when you log in to CAS Shield.

I’ve received a visa refusal letter. What should I do?

If you receive a visa refusal letter, please notify your University as soon as possible. You can upload your visa refusal letter into the follow up documents section on CAS Shield, once you have updated your visa status on CAS Shield.

I’ve received my visa. What should I do?

If you have received your visa, please login to CAS Shield and update your University. You can upload your visa vignette into CAS Shield.

I bought my flight to the UK. How can I let my institution know?

You can update your arrival information by logging into CAS Shield and uploading your flight information into the Follow-up Documents section.

Technical support

I am unable to save and continue on CAS Shield. What should I do?

In order to move to the next page, please ensure to confirm all the information by clicking on the grey ticks. If you need to amend anything, you can use the "edit" button.

Once you have done so, all ticks will be green and the "save and continue" button will be enabled for you to go to the next section.

My email address has changed. What should I do?

Please contact your institution directly so that they can update your contact details in their core system.

I uploaded the wrong document. How do I delete it?

Once you have uploaded a document, you are not able to delete it. Please upload any additional documents in support of your application, and notify your university of any documents you no longer require. You can contact them using the messaging button in the bottom right corner of CAS Shield once you log in.

I can’t login to my CAS Shield Account. What should I do?

If you are unable to login to your CAS Shield account, you can contact us on our live chat on the CAS Shield app using the blue button in the bottom left hand side of the homepage.

I see a ‘No Active Intakes' message. What should I do?

If you receive a ‘No Active Intakes’ message when trying to access your CAS Shield account you should contact their university directly for further assistance regarding their application status.

I haven’t received a password reset email. What should I do?

If you haven’t received a password reset email, please check that you are logging into your account using the correct email address. If the problem persists, you can also contact us on our live chat of the CAS Shield app using the blue button in the bottom left hand side of the homepage. Alternatively you can email contact@cas-shield.com.
